Opening and Closing Ceremonies
Ala was Design Studio Manager, later Head of Design at London 2012 Ceremonies Ltd. She was responsible for establishing the studio, and managing, supplementing and coordinating information produced by the ceremonies Production Designers. Sketches, progressed through 2d, 3d drawings, visuals, hand and digital models, art-working, scenic finishes, prototype pieces and graphics, and ending on show delivery.
Ala managed the interface between the creative and technical teams within Ceremonies. Overseeing the detail creative design, visualisation and project management, through to delivery of Presidential Box areas and protocol stages, lecterns, country placards and associated design working with LOCOG Overlays team.
